This is one of my first posts here but its an important one! Last October I managed to spin a rod bearing which just destroyed most of my motor. This week after months of a very slow tear down process I've finally been able to get my parts ordered and into the shop. So far here's what I have: Wiseco Pistons Factory Rods Z1 GT600R Turbo Kit 780cc Injectors Downpipe back 3" exhaust Most likely a 2.5" split dp Nismo Thermostat Crank is getting micropolished and fixed all new bearings new studs Heads are getting a basic rebuild the block is getting built by Weber Racing, a local company. Greddy boost controller single popcharger full gasket set oil and waterpump (full 120k kit) new oil pan all hoses are being replaced RPS MAX clutch new needle bearing cromoly pivot ball ss clutch line new EFI harness I'm most likely missing a few things but that should be the basics. When I get around to uploading pictures of all the damage I'll post, it was pretty interesting to see how gnarled a bearing could be. I do have a few questions though, it may be noticed I don't list upgraded intercoolers. The simple reason is right now it doesnt fit into my budget. Although I'm extremely worried about this, will it be alright to run these turbos with stock intercoolers for about a month or so? It's my understanding that I could easily come near 500 rwhp maybe on pump with these turbos. What should I do as far as engine management goes, Would it be fine if I just have Ash flash an ecu for me to my build? I'm just trying to reassure myself I won't blow it up again. This is this first time I'll own a car performing that high and with the investment made I don't want to throw that away.
